FACILITY SERVICES:
The Facilities Department is responsible for 14 school buildings as well as administrative space.
School facility operation services include the day-to-day running of school facilities. This includes daily custodial services, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment and landscape maintenance.
Plant operation and maintenance provides for the repair, replacement and renewal of equipment and materials. This includes preventative maintenance, emergency response and moderate renovation projects such as painting and building restoration.
Capital projects provides for the planning, development and supervision of larger projects including portable classrooms, school modernization and new school planning. Capital projects are funded by the Province. SPERD submits a plan outlining capital project priorities to the Province on an annual basis.
