In an effort to improve service, St. Paul Education is implementing a sub auto-notification system called AESOP (Automated Educational Substitute Operator). The system has benefits for both schools and substitute teachers. The teachers will be able to register their absences by phone or by web, 24/7. Substitutes can be called by Aesop, and can search for jobs by phone or web at their convenience.

Steps in Using AESOP Sub System
- You need your ID number (which is your 10 digit phone number).
- You need your PIN number (which is issued by Central Office). To get your PIN, if you have forgotten it, you need to call Central Office at (780) 645-3323.
- You can use either the telephone or internet to find and accept available jobs (Substitutes) or to create an absence and find a sub (Teachers).
