The Board of Trustees is extremely proud to announce that Mrs. Corinne Pashko, from Racette School, and Mrs. Julie Dubeau, from Ecole Mallaig Community School, have been chosen for the annual Excellence in Catholic Education Award.

The Excellence in Catholic Education Award recognizes Catholic educators in Alberta who have done an exemplary job in preparing our youth to grow into outstanding Catholic citizens. Nominees shall be passionate about Catholic education and the students they teach, inspire their students, and demonstrate commitment to Catholic education and teaching excellence.

Catholic educators from across the province are chosen according to a list of criteria set out by the Council of Catholic School Superintendents of Alberta (C.C.S.S.A.), including role modeling Catholic values and a Catholic lifestyle; and demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of subject matter, curriculum, and the integration of the teachings of the Catholic Church.

The Board of Trustees values the important role our Catholic educators and our Public Catholic Schools play within our division.

The award recipients will be presented with a C.C.S.S.A. Excellence in Catholic Education Certificate by the President of C.C.S.S.A. at the SPICE Annual Spring Conference on April 30, 2010.
