Through our partnership with ASEBP, St. Paul Education is proud to offer an Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP). This service is completely confidential and available at no cost to employees. Effective December 1, 2022, ASEBP has partnered with Inkblot to offer our Employee and Family Assistance Program.

Through our EFAP provider, Inkblot, employees can access a wide range of programs and services including:

  • Individual counselling (four hours)

  • Couples/family counselling (four hours)

  • Career coaching (four hours)

  • Health coaching (four hours)

  • Life transition coaching (four hours)

  • Legal consultations (unlimited)

  • Financial consultations (unlimited)

Professional Development for Supporting Student Wellness

MORE – Mental Health Online Resources for Educators

MORE is a program of online professional development for classroom teachers and other school personnel working in ECS through Grade 12 in school divisions primarily throughout Alberta. 

Community Education Service 

Provides parents/caregivers and other community members with opportunities to access free, public education sessions on child and youth emotional wellness and health topics. 

Brain Story Certification

Brain Story is an in depth course supported by the Alberta Family Wellness Initiative for professionals interested in the scientific underpinnings of the Brain Story. Includes 30 hours instruction time and a certificate in Brain Story science.

TEACH

In this course, educators will learn how to apply this classroom-ready, web-based, modular mental health curriculum resource as well as develop their own mental health literacy. Educators can then use this resource designed to be delivered to regular classrooms to successfully address mental health-related curriculum outcomes designed to be delivered by classroom teachers to students aged 12 to 19. 

LEARN

This course is designed for teacher candidates currently in Faculties of Education and for educators currently working in schools including teachers, administrators and other specialized roles, e.g. Resource or Learning Support Teachers, or anyone who wishes to build their mental health literacy.

Developed by education and mental health professionals, this seven module (8 to 10 hours) course will provide you with a foundation of mental health literacy, including effective strategies to use in your educational settings and in your own life.
