Annual Traditional Pipe Ceremony Held on September 1st

St. Paul Education is working to enhance educational experiences for each of our students. As a division we must respect, learn, value and honor Indigenous ways of knowing, being and doing. Moving forward with truth and reconciliation, St. Paul Education makes it our goal to select practices that embrace and validate Indigenous teachings.

We believe that accessing these teachings from knowledge keepers is important. On September 1st, our Cultural Advisor, Mr. Clifford Cardinal opened our school year with our Annual Traditional Pipe Ceremony. Following the pipe ceremony, Mr. Cardinal placed ribbons on a tree to acknowledge the Spirit World and celebrate the start of the new school year.
