Congratulations to Carol Quickstad on receiving the Excellence in Catholic Education Award! This award recognizes Catholic teachers in Alberta who have done an exemplary job in preparing our youth to grow into outstanding Catholic citizens.
Carol is a devoted teacher at the St. Paul Elementary School. For the last several years, she has been teaching primarily in grade 5 French. One of Carol’s blessings is her ability to make her students feel valued, cared for, appreciated and fully welcomed. As a true follower of Jesus, students are always treated with kindness and dignity by Carol no matter who they are, the issues they come forward with and the emotions they are navigating on any given day. With her faith at the core of how she teaches and lives out her life, Carol is an exemplary role model of the school motto to Live, Learn and Lead like Jesus.
Carol was presented with the award at the annual SPICE retreat in Kananaskis at the end of April. SPICE (Sharing Purpose in Catholic Education) is an annual conference hosted by the Alberta Catholic School Trustees' Association. The purpose of the retreat is to bring together members of Alberta's Catholic school communities to collaborate and explore current issues in Catholic education.
As we celebrate Catholic Education Week, we would like to congratulate Carol on receiving this award! Thank you for all that you do to serve your students!
