On June 21, National Indigenous Peoples Day, the Board unveiled a traditional Treaty 6 land acknowledgement which will be seen at the entrance of each Division school.
Pictured from left to right are Superintendent Brodziak, Elder Clifford Cardinal (Division employee and Saddle Lake Band Member), Frog Lake Council Member Billy Quinney, and Board Chair Starosielski. Mr. Quinney is the great great grandson of one of the original signatories for Treaty 6.
