We anxiously await more details from the Province.

New! Students Learning Assessments for Grade 3

From September 29 to October 24, grade three students across the province will begin writing Student Learning Assessments (SLAs). This is a new assessment tool the province is providing to help students with their learning.  Over the next few years, they will replace the Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs).  These tests will still be administered for Grade 3, 6, and 9 students, but unlike the PATs, they will be done in the beginning of the year and they will include many new digitally-based questions.  The focus of the tests will be on literacy and numeracy skills.

If you want to learn more about the SLAs, including Quick Facts for Parents and Sample Questions, visit the website at education.alberta.ca/sla
