Modulars for Two Hills Mennonite School

SPERD is very pleased to have received approval for two additional modulars for the Two Hills Mennonite School.  The modulars are expected for the fall of 2015 and will help with growing enrolment in both the current facility and the new school.  To read the complete media release, click here

Ashmont Elementary and Secondary School modernization is on the approval list for new projects just announced by the Premier.

We are very thankful to the Province for their continued support. This is a great opportunity to address programming needs for the foreseeable future. 
We anxiously await more details from the Province.


New! Students Learning Assessments for Grade 3

From September 29 to October 24, grade three students across the province will begin writing Student Learning Assessments (SLAs). This is a new assessment tool the province is providing to help students with their learning.  Over the next few years, they will replace the Provincial Achievement Tests (PATs).  These tests will still be administered for Grade 3, 6, and 9 students, but unlike the PATs, they will be done in the beginning of the year and they will include many new digitally-based questions.  The focus of the tests will be on literacy and numeracy skills.
