St. Paul Education is excited to celebrate Ginette Plante, Grade 1 French Immersion teacher at École Saint Paul Elementary School, as the 2025 recipient of the Excellence in Catholic Education Award. This prestigious honour recognizes Catholic teachers in Alberta who go above and beyond in nurturing students to become compassionate, faith-filled citizens.

For over seven years, Ginette has brought joy, faith, and dedication into her classroom. With a vibrant teaching style and compassionate heart, she embraces the dignity of each of her students, helping them grow emotionally, spiritually, and academically. Whether guiding them through big emotions or making learning come alive with excitement, she ensures every child feels valued and supported.

Ginette’s deep commitment to her Catholic faith is evident in all she does. She joyfully teaches her students about Jesus and encourages them to live in His image. After school liturgies, she often takes extra time to explore the church with her class, fostering early and meaningful connections with God.

A talented vocalist, Ginette shares her musical gifts during school liturgies, division celebrations, and the annual SPICE retreat. She also leads Children’s Liturgy at her parish, continuing to shape young hearts in their journey of faith beyond the classroom.
