Privacy Notice

St. Paul Education is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all visitors to our website. We collect and use information in compliance with Alberta’s Protection of Privacy Act (POPA) and Access to Information Act (ATIA).

Form Submissions

When visitors submit forms on the site we collect the data shown in the form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Information is collected in alignment with Alberta's Protection of Privacy Act. Anonymity is always protected when sharing survey results.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included if you do not want others to know the location information embedded in the image.

Form submissions may be checked through an automated third party spam detection service.

Cookies

All visitors may have a cookie set to help create a better experience while visiting the website, such as creating sticky forms that remember submission information entered, even if there is an error on submission. When you log in, we will also set up cookies to save your login information. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Embedded content from other websites

This site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data

If you submit data through any website form, the content of the submission and its metadata are retained indefinitely.

Information submitted through forms is stored securely on our servers and accessed only by authorized Division staff. We retain submissions as long as necessary to support educational and administrative purposes, in line with legal requirements and our Division record retention policy.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

If you would like to request access to, or deletion of, your personal information, please contact our Division Privacy Officer.
